Animal Aided Design

Thomas Hauck and Wolfgang Weisser have created a set of design parameters to implement in design practice to accommodate animals. Their research primarily involved housing projects in Germany where they integrated bird and bat nesting spaces into the building construction. They have also implemented a strategy for incorporating hedgehogs into green spaces where they can continue an ecological cycle in an urban environment.
